Discarded Christmas

A photo collection of Christmas trees spotted in the streets and parks of Melbourne's Eastern suburbs.

Every year in the weeks following Christmas, the streets of Melbourne are dotted with Christmas trees. The majority are placed on nature strips for green waste collection, others are dumped in public spaces like a broken oBike with complete disregard for the holiday season.

I thought it was interesting, as only a few weeks prior the tree was decorated with ornaments playing a pinnacle role in Christmas celebrations.

I decided to give a handful of trees a little extra life before they are turned into mulch. I had a laugh making these so I hope you enjoy them too!
